System of Debt

Capitalism is a system of debt in which most people struggle with loads of debt. Most of our life is structured around breaking free of this debt... is that what we really want?

College used to be optional, now in today's world to be competitive you effectively have to get a degree, and preferably a Master’s in many cases (which costs even more). But education is just one of the many ways we perpetuate this cycle of debt. Want a car? Want a home? You must accept further debt and work the rest of your life paying it off. All the small payments we make for health insurance, car insurance, homeowner’s insurance, internet, utilities, they all add up making it harder and harder to break free. And we haven’t even mentioned any of the things we actually want to do. Want to start a hobby? Want to go on vacation? Only if you’re willing to stay in debt longer. It’s time to wake up: The world does not need to be this way. We can create a world without debt, without money, without wage slavery, in which everyone — even billionaires — can enjoy lives of luxury and abundance far beyond what they enjoy today. This isn’t a pipe dream. This is reality, and it begins when you realize we have the power to change things right now.
